A new session of fun, affordable Musikgarten classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers are about to begin at The Children’s Playhouse, 400 Tracy Cir., Boone. All Musikgarten classes are taught by certified instructor Alison Moser and employ developmentally appropriate songs, games, movement and instruments. Alison says, “Music immerses the child in language, evokes movement, stimulates the brain and fosters physical coordination—all in a group setting that builds community.” Classes are as follows:
- Family Music for Babies (newborn to 18 months): 9:30-10:00 Fridays, May 2-June 6;
- Family Music for Toddlers (18 months-age 2): 9:00-9:30 Thursdays, May 1-June 5; and
- Cycle of Seasons (ages 3-5): 9:30-10:10 Thursdays, May 1-June 5.
Both the Baby and Toddler classes are $36 for members/$48 for nonmembers, while the Cycle of Seasons class is $48 for members/$60 for nonmembers for a 40 minute class. Want to check it out? Visit the first class for free! Call 263-0011 to register.
