Camp UREC was developed by University Recreation, a division of Student Development at Appalachian State University.
University Recreation wanted to offer children of the High Country a safe, instructional environment where they can explore a variety of fitness, sports, and outdoor activities during the summer months. This also opens the door for the students of ASU to create, develop, and execute camp activities while attending classes and living in the area.
